Privacy Policy
SHnoSH is a personal connection app that lets you send emoji-based check-ins to the people you care about. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
When you create an account, we store your email address, display name, city, zodiac sign (avatar), and timezone. This information is used to identify you to your contacts and display accurate local times.
When you send a SHnoSH, we store the emoji and phrase you selected, along with the sender and recipient identifiers and a timestamp. Messages are stored in Google Firebase Firestore.
If you enable push notifications, we store a device token provided by Apple Push Notification service (APNs) via Firebase Cloud Messaging. This token is used solely to deliver notifications to your device.
Your data is used exclusively to operate the app: delivering messages between you and your contacts, displaying contact information, calculating streaks, and sending push notifications. We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
SHnoSH uses Google Firebase for authentication, data storage, and push notifications. Firebase's privacy practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Your account data and message history are retained as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us using the support form linked below.
SHnoSH is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Firebase's secure infrastructure. Access to user data is restricted to authenticated users through Firestore security rules.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date below.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or want to request data deletion, please reach out via our support form.
